Illustration Friday - Lesson

Growing up, I was so lucky to spend a lot of time with all my grandparents, and of course, I learned a lot from them. This illustration is inspired by all of them. This is a pen and ink sketch that I have scanned and coloured in using Illustrator.

A lovely cup of tea...

How about a nice cup of tea?

Illustration Friday - Bottled

I did this sketch a couple of years ago for a hand-drawn card design. I'm so glad that I scan in every drawing that I do because themes do pop up again and again, and I also like to see how my style changes. Have a look at Illustration Friday to see other artist's interpretations of the theme 'bottled.' You can see more images at www.cargocollective.com/fionameakinillustrations

Illustration Friday - Duet and BICYCLE!

I absolutely had to re-(bi)cycle this picture for this week's Illustration Friday topic 'Bicycle,' as I couldn't think of - or redraw - a more fitting example!! This week's topic is DUET, and I've had this little illustration waiting in my sketch book for the perfect occassion. Surely the only way to get around town is in tandem?!!! I illustrated this couple using pen and ink and used photoshop to create the background. For more images visit www.cargocollective.com/fionameakinillustrations
